Actor indicates that new Mortal Kombat is in development

The actor behind Mortal Kombat’s Johnny Cage appears to have indicated he’s shooting new material for the fighting game franchise.

Last Monday, Andrew Bowenwho played Cage in Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat 11, tweeted a video of himself at the Warner Bros.

In the background is music that sounds suspiciously like the opening theme of Mortal Kombat 2and the video audio says: “Every deadly technique. It’s savage combat.”

Journalist Jeff Grubb claimed in August of last year that NetherRealm was working on Mortal Kombat 12.

It is worth remembering that the franchise Mortal Kombat is about to complete 30 years since its release, which took place on October 8, 1992.
