Deadpool movie was only made for curious reason

When Ryan Reynolds was introduced as Wade Wilson/Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the hope was that the character could have his own adventure sometime in the future, but the film’s poor performance prevented the project from gaining traction.

Now, the star has revealed that it was a test footage he developed for a potential spinoff that brought the film to life. The images were leaked and gained strength on the internet, leading to the production of the 2016 feature that started the mercenary franchise.

“I spent 10 years trying to make the movie Deadpool – it was hell. We shot some test footage, some absolute bastard leaked it on the internet, and that’s what got the movie made.”

According to a report by Discussing Film, Marvel Studios has begun recruiting members for the behind-the-scenes team for the highly anticipated Deadpool 3, starting with Raymond Chan as production designer.

This is a new collaboration between Ryan Reynolds and the director. Shawn Levyafter Free Guy: Taking Control and The Adam Project.

Production is expected to begin in the second half of this year. Deadpool 3 doesn’t have a release date set, but it will become the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with an R (+18) rating.
