Watch the final trailer of Elvis

Directed by Baz LuhrmannElvis had his final trailer released exclusively by fandango. The long-awaited film stars Austin Butler in the lead role, and many believe he will appear in awards season.

Luhrmann previously admitted there is a lot of pressure around the production, but he is confident of success.

‎”You will hear the classics. You will see the Elvis story, but we also translate that for a younger generation. You know, when I looked at the first preview, I thought, ‘This looks like a superhero movie.’ The truth is that Elvis is something of an original superhero. He came out of nowhere, and soared so high that he found his kryptonite, and also love. It is a beautiful and powerful tragedy.”‎

declared during the CinemaCon some weeks ago.

Elvis will follow decades of the artist’s (Butler) life and his rise to fame, starting from the singer’s relationship with his controlling manager “Colonel” Tom Parker (Hanks). The story delves into the dynamic between the singer and his manager for more than 20 years in partnership, using the ever-evolving US landscape and Elvis’ loss of innocence over the years as a singer.

In the midst of his journey and career, Elvis will meet Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge), source of his inspiration and one of the most important people in his life.

Elvis is starring Austin Butler as Elvis Presley and Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parkermanager of the King of Rock.
